There are gazillions of brownie recipes on the internet; then why another one. Because, i have been trying my luck with brownies ever since i started baking and finally i figured out a recipe that makes people fall in love with brownies all over again. My mum has never been fond of brownies, but ever since she tasted these she is kind of addicted. In last couple of days, i have baked numerous batches for friends, family and acquaintances. The demand for my brownies is increasing 🙂 and my weak shoulders are unable to bear all the pressure, so i am sharing the recipe for all the brownie lovers out there.
So the ultimate brownies are moist, chewy, chocolaty and have a flaky crust. Yummy!
To begin with, the main ingredient is cooking chocolate. The cooking chocolate usually comes in a brick form. I just use a basic cooking chocolate. If you are a chocolate fanatic then i would recommend using premium quality cooking chocolate. In most of the brownie recipes the chocolate is melted and then used, however i like to grate the chocolate rather than melting. I think grating or melting does not make any difference in the end product. I just grate it because i find it super convenient. For this particular recipe i use the plain milk chocolate.Second thing i do differently, is that i use the regular salted butter and do not add any extra salt . Most of the recipes use unsalted butter and then add salt separately. It might add a difference to the taste , but my brownies turn out pretty well, so for now i’ll go by the saying that all is well that ends well, might experiment with unsalted butter another time. One of the secrets of making gooey brownies is to use less quantity of flour. I use small quantity of flour in this recipe. If you like your brownies cakey, only then increase the amount of flour. Also always sift the flour to avoid any lumps. Mix dry ingredients i.e. grated chocolate, flour and coco powder separately and set aside. This is important otherwise you shall have trouble mixing the ingredients well. The next step is to assemble flowy ingredients. Melt the butter. I just put the butter in a mug and melt it in microwave *guilty of using shortcuts*. However, you are free to use a more sophisticated way of melting butter. The goal is to simply melt butter. Add sugar to the melted butter and mix well. I use a hand blender to mix the liquid ingredients. Add eggs and vanilla essence.Once the liquid ingredients are mixed well add the dry ingredients in small batches and keep mixing until a chocolaty mixture is formed.I love walnuts, so i try to add them wherever they fit. The combination of brownies and walnuts is age old. The gooeyness of chocolate and the crunch of walnut just makes life a lot better 😉Cut the walnuts into small chunks and add them to the mixture. Mix well until walnuts disappear inside the mixture.Grease a Baking tray with cooking oil and line it with baking paper. Leave a slight overhang of paper on all sides. I use an 8 inch rectangular baking tray.Pour the Brownie Mixture into the baking trayPlace it in the oven, pre-headted to 180C. I always use an oven thermometer to get better idea of the things inside the oven.Bake them for 15 minutes at 180C. Your easy gooey brownies are ready to be served. They may not look awesome, but they sure taste delicious!
